MATCH FACTS: Guinea and South Africa in Group C battle in Kampala.

Guinea and South Africa will meet for the first time at the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) on Monday in Group C in Kampala, writing a new chapter in the tournament's history.

South Africa is Guinea's 15th different opponent in the CHAN competition, whereas Guinea is the 9th team South Africa has faced. Guinea is playing their third match against a COSAFA nation, having previously played Zambia twice.

South Africa will face a West African team for the fifth time, with previous outcomes ranging from wins over Ghana and Niger in 2011, a draw with Mali, and a defeat to Nigeria in 2014.
