Why John Mahama met with Tinubu before being elected president of Nigeria


Why Tinubu and John Mahama met before John Mahama's election Former President John Dramani Mahama was a member of a group that had a meeting with Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who would later be officially announced as the victor of Nigeria's February 25 presidential elections.


 Former African Heads of State (West African Elders Group), including Mahama, are in Nigeria to observe the elections in that continent's most populous nation. Mahama paid visits to Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the main opposition People's Democratic Party, along with Tinubu and the other two leading candidates (PDP).
